Yes. All couples are required to pay a £200 non-refundable booking fee with the balance of the package payable no later than 2 weeks before the wedding (following the pre-wedding chat).
Approximately 4 weeks before the wedding we will meet again (in person) to discuss the final details of your wedding, plan the photography for the day and if appropriate take some photos for your momento cards that are displayed on your tables, detailing your on-linegallery information. Often when couples first book (up to 2 years before the wedding itself) they don’t usually have the final schedule for the day worked out, so we meet and talk through the day, so that all parties know what to expect from eachother and agree on an action plan. It also reminds you of who your photographer is and helps you feel far more comfortable on the day.
A password protected on-line gallery is set up, to be displayed from an agreed date at the pre-wedding chat (usually 2-3 weeks after the wedding). In addition to this, you will receive a proofing disk to help choose the number of images included in your package. Once you have chosen, you then return the proofing disk along with your image numbers and the first draft of your album proof will be designed.
Once you have received your album design there are 2 ways to approve both the layout and the photos before it is sent to the printers/album makers. If you only require minor modifications (or none at all), you can send an email with the alterations and I will email you a copy of the final amended version. However because there are only one set of changes included in each package price, we encourage couples to make an evening/weekend appointment to come in to the office to proof the album together. That way we can ensure that you are happy with each layout and received the perfect wedding album.
From approving both the layout and your image choice, the Storybook albums take approximately 2-3 weeks for delivery, while the hand-crafted leather reportage albums take approximately 6 weeks.
Yes, of course. We appreciate that money is often an issue before the wedding and that you may not have the funds to commit to buying the CD before the wedding. Many couples come back around their first anniversary or when their first child is born and buy it then. Another idea is to get everybody at the wedding who would like to buy photos to club together and buy it as one. That way, you can print off their photos for them and keep the disk.
Heartfelt disks come with unlimited print capability and are not copyright free. This means that you can copy the disk and give all of the images to all of your friends and family if you want to, as well as print every image as large as you like and as many times as you like. This is what most people expect to get when they see the term ‘copyright free’ images. However ‘copyright free’ means that as a photographer I have you ask you and in some cases even pay you if I want to use any of the images I took – I no longer have the right to my own work and even more worryingly anybody else with a desire to start a photography business can claim the work as their own if I surrender copyright. For those reasons Heartfelt retains copyright BUT gives you unlimited print capability – after all we are very proud of our work and want to keep ownership without compromising your right to print, email and upload your wedding photos.
Initially we keep the images for 5 years. We will never delete them however without first contacting you (if possible) to offer you the chance to buy all of your images (if you haven’t done so already) at a greatly reduced price.
Heartfelt is part of a local group of PROFESSIONAL Kent Wedding photographers who in the event of illness will provide backup and cover each others weddings (where ever possible). Following the pre-wedding chat, a shot sheet is created detailing both the Bride and Groom’s details, important family members, venue details, order of the day and any special shots requested. This will be passed on to the relevant photographer who will photograph your wedding and then pass the files back to Heartfelt for editing. You would receive a telephone call with a named replacement and could expect to receive the same professional standard of photography.
As long we are available on your alternative date, your deposit will be transferable. Please note that it is not transferable to other couples and is non-refundable should you decide to cancel altogether.
The MPA (Master Photographer’s Association) and the BIPP (British Institute of Professional Photographers) are professional bodies monitoring the output and behaviour of professional photographers. Members ensure a high standard of professionalism and quality of work, ensuring that not only you get the best photographs possible on the day but also that your photographer acts appropriately and has all of the relevant insurance
